This fabulous little dining room caught my eye, particularity the striped chairs and awesome chandelier. I love the eclectic mix of pieces in this space - the zinc table top paired with a wood base, chairs upholstered in fabulous black and white striped fabric and trimmed with nail heads, the vibrant turquoise ottoman for additional seating, and the fun piece of art. It's a great reminder that not everything always has to "match," especially in a dining room. Sometimes the more you mix it up, the better and more original the outcome! What do you like about this space?

Congratulations to your husband on his new job opportunity!
ReplyDeleteI love everything about that diningroom, from the striking chairs to the chandelier to the painting… It is gorgeous!
Congrats to your husband!
ReplyDeleteCongrats for your husband!!! LOve the dining room too, everything I guess....But then, how do you do when you have like 6/8 chairs? How many chairs should be the same??
ReplyDeleteYou could probably only fit 4 of the upholstered chairs comfortably and maybe add in 2 black wood side chairs. Don't want to mix it up too much or could look cluttered.
DeleteOh congratulations! He must be so chuffed!
ReplyDeleteIt goes to show that putting your on stamp on things can really work a treat! My favourite look is a neutral blank canvas room and filling with colourful accessories. So easy to update. I love the mis-match, its beautiful! x
Thank you everyone for your thoughtful comments and warm wishes about my husband's new job! xoxo
ReplyDeleteoh, congrats julie!! both my husband and i have been in that position of being unemployed for a while. and recently my husband's hours were cut again. but God is always faithful... has been each and every time. it's such a light load to bear when we know God will provide when things aren't going the way we'd like them to in order to feel safe and comfortable. and i've always felt that is where He teaches us the most in life. still... it's nice to have that extra cushion of security in a job. and it must do wonders for his esteem. so happy for you... and your entire family.
ReplyDeleteThose chairs are fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI love the light and how it ties in perfectly with the table and teal chair!
