"Creating a homey dining space doesn't have to be stressful. Ask yourself. "What will make my friends and family feel welcome here?" And don't be afraid to consider using your dining room for purposes other than entertaining, such as a home office, library, or gallery. Our favorite use of the dining room, however, is for memorable family meals or a romantic dinner for two."
- Mitchell Gold & Bob Wilson, The Comfortable Home
Thats very true. That is the final and most important objective when decorating a dining room!
ReplyDeleteMy family uses our dining room as both a place to enjoy meals and a home office. My mom somehow pulled that one off haha. There's a desk in there and everything haha. I love having fresh flowers on the table, either that or some candles

I read your blog all the time, and it is one of my all time favorites. I'm cracking up because when I saw that last picture (the white chairs and Ikea shelves) Im thinking, "I recognize that house! That's my brothers house. My sis in law is an interior designer." too funny.
