Last week my husband and I took a trip to NYC for 4 days and had a fantastic time! The main reason for going was because I was invited by
Bose to attend a special blogger event at the
Trump Soho hotel, which I'll share more with you in the coming weeks. This was my 3rd time to New York, but first time going in December. As much as I wanted there to be a little bit of snow (it just makes the Christmas season seem that much more exciting), it was dry, clear and sunny, which was perfect for all of the walking we did. We managed to squeeze in quite a bit of sightseeing and EATING...by the last day I was absolutely exhausted! The first night we stayed at the
Trump Soho, which was
absolutely beautiful and had the most amazing view from the 34th floor. The remaining nights we stayed at the Best Western downtown, which was decent (and affordable) but definitely not a 5 star hotel! Today I'm sharing a few highlights from our trip. Thanks for letting me share. Do you have any plans to travel over the holidays or in the new year?
Central Park - it was a gorgeous day!
Rockefeller Center - I wanted to go ice skating but at 18 weeks pregnant, I didn't think it was such a good idea!
Macy's
Some highlights from the
ABC Carpet & Home store in Manhattan...6 floors of absolute home decor bliss! My husband even enjoyed strolling through the store (well, for a short time at least).
We had to stuff our faces with a giant ice cream sundae at Serendipity. It was worth every bite (and calorie and fat gram)!
Lobby at the Trump Soho
View from our room on the 34th floor. I caught the sunrise the first morning we were there and it was spectacular!
Me and Ryan, sitting and people watching in Central Park.
Jealous? Moi? You bet. I've been straining at the leash to go to NY. Particularly this year as Alan Rickman is on Broadway.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a wonderful time. I'm sure Junior enjoyed the food too, but you were very wise not to risk the ice rink.
Have a wonderful Festive Season. xx
Oh! It looks so wonderfully festive. I went to NYC in March once and it was soooo snowy! Would love to visit in Dec one day, too! xx
ReplyDeleteSo glad you enjoyed New York. I love it too at this time of the year even if it means dealing with crowd and traffic. Cancelled my annual whistler ski trip this year as my son just had knee surgery. i don't think it would have been quite fair to have him stay in a a hotel room while we enjoyed the snow!! Happy to spend Christmas at home, just praying for snow.
ReplyDeleteyikes, looks fabulous! i will have to add christmas time in new york to my to-do list for sure. thanks for sharing the pictures!!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had an absolutely fantastic trip. I love your photos, and you're such a pretty mama-to-be!
ReplyDeleteOh I totally forgot about Serendipity!
ReplyDeleteI'm visiting NYC for the first time in April and this is going on my list, now! :D
Love your photos!
Looks like you had so much fun! I am going to NYC this Friday, I can't wait.

Thank you for sharing these gorgeous pictures, NYC rocks!!!
ReplyDeleteYou got great pictures! I love the sunflare ones! I've been to NYC 3 times and I love it more every time. It has a pulse all it's own. My favorite place is at the Top of the Rockefeller building. You get the same, if not better, view as you would from the Empire State Building. You can also see Central Park better and of course see the ESB. If you ever go back, check it out. It's cheaper then the ride up the ESB, too. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays! I love our blog and have gotten countless ideas for my own home!
amazing pics, love the outfit. lucky you ny during christmas
