Sweet & Stylish Nurseries
Pregnant + interior designer = nursery decor on the brain! I've been bookmarking cute nurseries and kid's rooms to refer back to when I start to decorate my little son's space in our bedroom (we don't have a nursery yet - just one bedroom for all 3 of us to share). I'm due early May so I have quite a bit of time to work on pulling the design together. Today I've rounded up several great inspiration photos for boys & girls. Do you have a baby or toddler, or maybe you're a mommy-to-be? What color scheme or theme have you gone with for your child's room? P.S. - Thank you so much to everyone who left such warm and thoughtful comments on my post yesterday announcing the big news :) I appreciate each and every one of you so very much.
Love your choices! Especially the 6th photo! Congratulations! I'm starting to scour for ideas myself, I'm 16 weeks pregnant so I know how you feel ;) Congrats again!~
ReplyDeleteI loved striped ceilings; perfect for a little boy's room, too! xx

so cute!... each one. ever since having a baby {even though our nursery is already designed and done}, i can't get enough of looking at nurseries. i've been on ohdeedoh a lot lately, looking at all the whimsical ideas that others have for their nurseries.
ReplyDeletei went with a chocolate brown, orange, white and cream color-scheme... lots of vintage touches and birds {not catoony birds... just silhouette sort of birds}. i call the "theme" sweet bird vintage, although i tried to stay away from the room looking too themey.
it's such a tiny room, but i was so happy with how it turned out! i have to say, planning the nursery was the most fun i ever had decorating. and it was more fun than planning my own wedding. i would do it again and again, for others, if i could! that would be so much fun! you're gonna love it!
They are all SO cute !! I can't imagine how exciting it is...I love looking at nursery pics and have NO plans of being pregnant for years !! :)

ReplyDeletethe clothes in that pint size closet are beyond darling! xx
ReplyDeleteloved the wallpaper in the back of the closet! good idea for my baby's closet! and regarding color combinations.. I am kind of working in a yellow-turquoise-light grey scheme... All the options above are great.. cant wait to see how it ends! hope you share!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore all the stripes! Can't wait to start thinking about a nursery when we have one (none at the moment but fingers crossed soon!) x
ReplyDeleteGorgeous nurseries! Especially those with the beautiful reading spaces. Have a fabulous start of the week, Kellie xx
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, congratulations! I didn't know you were pregnant! Well, I am a big fan of stripes and color, and I think you'd also love our cribs (Oeuf and Walmart...yep, Walmart...I smartened up - or maybe cheapened up?! - with baby #2). Both cribs are just sleek, white lines. I adore the top photo and the fifth one down with the blue rug that you have featured here. I hope you're feeling well. What an exciting time...and what a lucky little bebe to have such a chic mama designing the nursery! xoxo
ReplyDeleteAm also a mommy-to-be soon. But I've not seriously decided on the color theme for the nursery. But I would definitely like to try the kids lighting from ikea and some cute rugs. And the fourth picture is giving me some new ideas.
