Home Tour: A Sweet Little Abode

Before I share this adorable home tour, I have to vent. I began my Tuesday morning with an early trip to Target to take advantage of the Missoni for Target opening launch, only to discover that I should have arrived about 30 minutes earlier (when the store opened). EVERYTHING was sold out! The shelves and racks were bare and I saw people with carts piled sky high, with that beloved Missoni pattern spilling over the sides. I must admit, my heart was a little broken :( So I came home to shop online...which was equally disappointing since Target's website crashed due to "higher than normal" traffic (it' back up now, but all the good stuff is SOLD OUT). Hello?! What's a girl to do? Did any of you manage to score anything Missoni from Target today? I'll keep on trying and let you know what happens...

Anyway, I discovered this fantastic little online magazine via decor8, called 2 By Fryd (it's in another language) and it's filled with fresh images of homes, crafts, food, etc. I fell in love with this lovely little home and immediately thought of sharing it with you today. It's bright, fresh and cheerful. What do you think?!

  1. Oh my! I know what you mean! I went to target today around noon and everything was sold out as well! I was able to score a pair of the the ballet flats though!! I hope they restock their clothing again...and again...and again!

  2. I am obsessed with this house!!!

I am loving all of the painted furniture in pastel hues against the crisp, white walls. So fresh and modern with hits on vintage. Swoon.

  3. I got to Target at 9 - thinking that was when they opened. Nearly everything was gone, but I got lucky and some of the things I were still there. I managed to get my two favorite scarves, a shower curtain, a serving tray and a set of serving bowls. In most cases I took the very last item.

I was shopping in the suburbs of Utah - not exactly the fashion capital of the world and it was still gone. I think Target seriously underestimated the demand.

Like Ashely, I'm hoping they are able to restock soon (but I have a feeling they won't.)

  5. I feel your pain! I snagged a fabulous scarf and a fun pair of knee highs (I'm borderline obsessed with knee high socks), but wasn't able to score what I *really* wanted: the espresso set! Lovely pictures, despite a not-so-lovely Target experience

  6. I'm from Denmark, and I thought that this looked very Danish, or at least Scandinavian. I think the magazine is Norweigian :-)

  7. I drove from Montreal to Plattsburgh NY (just over an hour) to get to Target for 8 a.m. I walked in the store at 8:03 a.m. and all I got was a vase, votive candle holder and black pumps. A small group of women had taken everything between them - their carts were overflowing and everything was gone by 8:15 a.m.. Really frustrating.

  9. I went online at 6 am and managed to get a quilt, a couple pairs of socks, and a sleeveless dress. I went by my neighborhood store at lunchtime and all of the good stuff was sold out. Bummer...

  11. I was auto-less yesterday, but went to Target today. I bought ties for each of my guys and knee socks for my girl; they'll be stocking stuffers. For me? Missoni wellies!

  12. oh my Gosh, I think far too many of us were in the same boat. Some people got just a bit greedy! It was disheartening to see thousands of missoni for target items on ebay already, going for triple!

  13. DON'T WORRY KIDS, TARGET ISN'T THAT DUMB. IT AIN'T OVER 'TIL IT'S OVER. THEY DEVELOPED THE MANUFACTURING MACHINE TO PRODUCE THIS LINE. NO ONE ELSE CAN DO IT THE SAME, OR KEEP THE PRICES SO LOW.IT WILL BE PRODUCED IN VOLUME IN A FEW DAYS OR WEEKS. THEY OWN THAT.. AND THEY TOOK THE RISK TO PRODUCE IT AND DESERVE THE PROFIT. I HOPE IT HAPPENS ASAP. THE FOOLS THAT PAY EXTRA BUCKS ON EBAY, RATHER THAN WAITING FOR THE NEXT BATCH, WILL CRY. WE WILL BE PATIENT AND FIND MULTIPLES UNTIL WE CAN NO LONGER BEAR TO LOOK AT IT. A FEW OF US REMEMBER HOW NAUSEATED THE PRINT BECAME BACK IN THE DAY. UNTIL THEN, DON'T SWEAT IT, AS WE SAID. GO TARGET.
