Maximizing a Small Space
Yesterday I blogged about the new project I just started on, which is the renovation of a smaller scale bedroom. I've been searching around specifically for photos of small bedrooms that have multi-functional furniture pieces and maximum storage. The room that I'm designing needs to function as a small apartment (a workspace, decent storage, bed, extra seating, etc.), minus the kitchen and bathroom, which are shared common areas for the women at the shelter. I found some great inspiration photos for my room...now I need to make up my mind and finalize the plans! Do you have a small room that you've maximized / used as a multi-functional space? Please share any ideas or tips that you've found helpful! Thanks for being so wonderful and have a great weekend :) xoxo - Julie
there are good ideas too here how to use dark color wall for small room....inspiring
ReplyDeletei like the bright ones. the ones with natural light. and your room does have the potential for something like that.
ReplyDeleteplus, the people living there will need the brightness more than anything.... makes a huge impact on psychology...
Love the daybed idea and the fact that you have TWO windows. The 8th image, the one with the blue walls, seems perfect for a multi-use area. I know you will come up with something which will knock our socks off. Congrats, J. This is a wonderful for all of you to participate in. xx's
ReplyDeleteI still live at home and my boyfriend lives with us as well. We have to use my room as a bedroom/study/hangout area. I believe the key is to have really good storage!
