Citrus Inspired Interiors

With Summer right around the corner, I've been craving fresh fruit and ice cold lemonade. Grapefruit, lemons, oranges and limes are not only delicious to eat, their vibrant colors and textures are also wonderful for inspiring fresh color palettes for interiors. A pop of citrus adds energy and warmth to a space. You can't help but feel happiness and cheer when surrounded by these juicy colors!     I love how citrus palettes have a color for everyone: yellow...orange...pink...even green! And you can do so much with them from fresh and summery to saturated and dramatic. Great images.

    I love citrus colors! Aside from wall colors, I love the idea of using a bowl of citrus as a center piece, accented with tiny white flowers. Years ago, I redid a desk in orange with lime green built in shelving. I still love it, but it's stashed away until it can find a proper home :)

    I love the things in the first photo! My room right now is painted in orange and green and I have a rug just like that. Now I really want that lamp and the 'love' decor :)

    i love that second photo- those accessories strattle the line between green and yellow and are such a nice compliment to the grey walls. although i am in lust with that orange & pink striped hallway, i prefer to keep my basics neutral and find those shocking accessories.

    I love how the beautiful bright colors of citrus fruits and they really do go well together! I think my favorites are definitely the pinks and oranges, especially as accent colors. Otherwise I feel they would be overpowering. These are very pretty!
