Celebrating One Year + Trina Turk Giveaway

It's hard to believe it's been one year since I launched Modern Chic Home! What began as a new business venture into the unknown, has blossomed into something so much more than I ever thought possible. I had no idea where this journey was going to take me, but so far, it's been pretty incredible. I owe the success of my business to my fabulous customers, my dear readers, fellow bloggers and entrepreneurs alike, who have each contributed in their own way to supporting my dream. GIVEAWAY DAY #1:  Trina Turk Residential  Lator Gator Hook Rug in Blue ($195 value!)

This super chic accent rug was featured in the July issue Real Simple magazine! It's hand-hooked rug and made of 100% wool which gives it a lot of texture. It's approx 3' x 5' in size in blue, turquoise, green, chocolate brown & cream. I have one that's pictured here in my apartment. I actually have it placed in front of my cocktail table, but pulled it closer to the sofa to take this photo. It's a great size for a large bathroom, at the foot of a bed, under a comfy chair with a side table, or in an entry way.

My kitty Jada LOVES this rug...a little too much (she thinks it doubles as a scratching pad).
