Hallways deserve love and attention too! I think sometimes we're so focused on designing actual rooms, hallways tend to get neglected. We may hang a picture or two, but if you really think about it, a hallway may be the perfect opportunity to do something bold and unexpected! Whether it's a narrow, wide, tiny, or just plain awkward space, make the most of it with bold wallpaper, shelves, an interesting console table or furniture piece or paint. Have you given the halls in your home a little design love? *** Happy Friday everyone! Have a great weekend :) xoxo -Julie

All are so inspiring, makes me want to go home and see what is missing in my own hallways. Love the one with all the hanging pictures!
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures of the little dachshunds ~ they look just like my dog Buddy! Have a great weekend. xo
ReplyDeleteI love hallway inspiration! I have a bare, neglected foyer that could use decorating... I could use all the inspiration I can get!!
ReplyDeleteGreat spaces! Love that large-scale paisley wallpaper and that lime green door. I wish my hall was wide enough for a console or chair. But I do have a gallery wall that I keep adding to with old black & white family pics. have a great weekend : )
ReplyDeleteGorgeous...such inspiration and eclectic mix of beautiful decor and furniture pieces..love it! x
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning examples.. I am horrified to admit that my tiny, narrow and straight hallway has been completely ignored and neglected! Tut, tut... I know.. you have given me some ideas for the sad thing.

Totally agree that a hallway must/should be special. It is the first impression really.
ReplyDeleteI love the ideas you have shared.
We have a very similar Marimekko wall hanging in our upper hallway (pic 5) only it's a Birch tree. We alternate it with a similarly huge hanging of a bulls head (also Marimekko) and I love matching flowers with the colours in them.
In our downstairs hallway we have a 2.2m tall original poster from 1929 leaning across one wall. It makes the whole room and we always get such great comments on it. It was the very first joint purchase my husband and I did when we started going out. So special to us..
Thanks for this inspiring post and happy weekend.
