Shabby Chic Couture
Rachel Ashwell recently relaunched her business with new stores and a new line called Shabby Chic Couture. After working through a rough patch, Rachel has made a comeback with brand new amazing and inspiring designs. In her own words from her blog, Rachel sums up her new beginning and what continues to inspire her, "It is exactly one year ago [Feb.10, 2010] that the world of Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic crumbled, for a while. You have all followed the journey and been part of our new beginnings. Our Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic Couture stores are open in New York and Los Angeles. Simply Shabby Chic treasures continues to be sold at Target. So much inspiration to bring to projects not yet designed. I am learning more and more that it is our down time as artists that allow us to create magic when we create." Her new Couture Collection includes slipcovered furniture, collection furniture, bedding and lighting. I think everything looks absolutely beautiful, fresh and timeless! What are your thoughts her new designs? P.S. Happy Friday :) Have a fantastic weekend!

I used to really enjoy her tv show, years ago. There is something so lovely and tranquil about her interiors. Glad to see she's back!!
ReplyDeletei went to visit her shop in santa monica last year and sad to know her store was closed. i saw some people inside doing some renovation, so it was a little bit promising. but now, she is back and stronger than ever! have a great day, verbena cottage.
ReplyDeleteIf only she would open some stores in Australia! So glad to see her back on top, and what a testament to her strength and resilience to bounce back from adversity like she has. Lovely post, especially us poor shabby chic-deprived Aussies! K xx
ReplyDeleteSeeing that Rachel really patented the Shabby Chic style, I'm so glad she's making a comeback (not that I didn't think she would!) One truly amazing woman!
ReplyDeleteI live in a cute little cottage right now-so I love shabby chic!
ReplyDeleteLove the romantic look! Thanks for showing the five light crystal chandelier at the end of your blog. It is one of our best sellers! Because of its smaller size, it will fit into many spaces. You can find this chandelier at The Designer Insider, item #C09008.
