In a time when nothing is forever and even tomorrow can feel uncertain, when our sense of self can be dashed in a day, by work gone wrong or gone mechanical, by love gone awry or a careless word, there is always bed...bed is a sanctuary...a place to center yourself, to feel protected until you are ready to face the world again.

HaHa... well for me not even that! Currently I am staying in my sisters' old single bed.... :)))) Can't wait to finally have my own big bed though!

Hi Julie, what a lovely quote!
ReplyDeleteI am a big fan of Ilse Crawford, and have quite a few of her bits of wisdom on my blog..... her book 'Sensual Home' is one of my favourites, and the cover is a glorious grey suede sort of fabric that I love to touch (typical Ilse style, she loves her 'textures'!)
I enjoy your blog very much, particularly your quotes, which was one of the reasons I added you to my blog roll!
Linda. x :)
What a beautiful quote! I've been away for a week, and coming home last night to my own bed was glorious!
ReplyDeleteGreat quote. Lovely images. That last one is in my 'fav beds of all time' file.
ReplyDeleteAmen....All of these pictures are so pretty!! I am loving the blue and yellow bedding...so relaxing. Hope your having a great day! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more, and all the beds you selected to display are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSo true... my bed and I do not like to be separated for too long a time, we miss each other too much haha. I miss my bed the most when I'm holiday. Adjusting to a different bed can be really hard. However, these beds look suitable enough! :D xxx

What a quote, and it so suits my week!
ReplyDeleteI will take the last bedroom. Headboard looks so cozy and "sheltering"? ...
ReplyDeleteSome very beautiful bedrooms! Especially like the low to the ground, woody ones.
