When it comes to thinking of fresh new ideas for wall decor above the sofa, it's easy to get stumped on anything other than a single piece of art or a large mirror...especially if your sofa is against a large wall with tons of extra space. I've run into this challenge in my own home and decided to search high and low for ideas that are a outside the box. One of my favorites would be decorative wallpaper that's interesting enough to stand on it's own or a series of small prints stacked above one another. What do you have going on above your sofa?
That's an interesting question, I just have pictures in picture frames large and small above my sofa, like in much of these pictures. They are delightful
Julie - these are all such gorgeous images! Love them! Also, love the Trina Turk goodies you emailed about from Modern Chic Home - posted the on my blog today!!!
Definitely easy to get stuck with couch designs... You came up with some beautiful alternatives!! The wallpaper options were definitely my favorite (I never thought I would say that, but wallpaper has stolen my heart!)
I have had the same problem in my home! So once I found some ideas I posted this blog with some inspiration http://cocopearl.blogspot.com/2010/01/10-chic-ways-to-create-art-on-budget.html
All great ideas! The wallpaper really does do the trick, and oversized wall art - gorgeous. I'm in the same boat as well, not sure what to put above my sofa, but I'm not sure if I should because it is a slanted wall (Normandy style). Maybe I should rearrange my furniture instead. Thanks for the ideas and have a great weekend!
An attention-grabbing discussion is value comment. I believe that you should write more on this matter, it might not be a taboo topic however usually persons are not sufficient to speak on such topics. To the next. Cheers
