I just got back from dinner with my wonderful, beautiful, brave friend who is recovering from a mastectomy. We had a lovely time catching up on each other's lives and I can't help but admire her strength and serenity toward battling breast cancer at age 29. She says she feels "lucky" because her cancer could have been much worse, but since it was confined to one area they were able to remove it all without having to do radiation or chemo. She looks beautiful and healthy and I'm so proud of her for sailing through this with ease and gratitude. When I look at her, suddenly all of my little problems seem silly and insignificant. I'm able to put things into perspective in my life and smile and thank God for all that he has provided for me and for helping me through the tough times. I wish you all a very happy, safe and fun-filled weekend. I'll meet you back here next week! Cheers :)
