I love that quote. I also think it helps to remember that few of us can live a life that replicates any of these design photographs. One would have to have a professional photographer lighting your every waking moment!LOL!
In my youth I wasted a lot of time striving for the Perfect Look in my homes - now I just like them to be beautiful - but livable.
There are so many great sweeping pieces in each of these photographs, whether a vase overflowing with tulips or a swirly iron piece over a mantle! Beautiful!
