"A Lighter Shade of Purple"
"A shade that inspires higher thinking brings calm to the interior." I've been hearing over the last few months that purple, lavender, amethyst - whatever you want to call it - is making a comeback. Now, I've never been a big fan of this color, especially when it comes to using it in interiors. However, in this month's issue of Metropolitan Home, they feature this color way along with photos of lovely accessories, fabric, etc. all in shades of purple. As interior designer Alex Papachristidis puts it, "Light purple has a neutral quality about it. It looks good with any color, from gray to brown, yellow or red. I love it as an accent." I think the key word here is accent...
